The winter storm this past Friday night brought the heaviest March snowfall totals to Tennessee that we had seen since the blizzard of 1993.
We have off and on rain chances during the week and high temperatures will mostly be running in the 50s to near 65 degrees by Thursday.
This is going to be a beautiful week for us to enjoy with sunny and dry weather and a steady warming trend all the way to the weekend.
I am concerned about the potential for flooding in parts of Middle Tennessee this week.
After a cold weekend I bring good news. A big warming trend is coming for Tuesday and Wednesday with high temperatures climbing to 60 to 65 degrees with sunshine.
Temperatures will warm back up into the 50s for the middle of the week, but another cold front may pay us a visit later in the week.
Computer weather models are indicating we could hit 70 degrees at least twice this week as this unusually warm weather continues.
After a mild week it looks like temperatures will start turning cooler next weekend but at this time Christmas Day is looking like a chance of rain and in the 50s.
This is going to be a more unsettled week of weather across Middle Tennessee with off-and-on rain chances.
The week is starting with the coldest temperatures of the season so far with lows near 20 degrees in some areas.
A strong cold front will bring rain on Thursday and temperatures will drop about 20 degrees to near freezing on some nights.
Temperatures will be near 70 degrees in the afternoons through the middle of the week.
Temperatures are going to be flirting with 80 degrees on many days this week, but a strong cold front arrives around Friday and brings a chance of rain followed by much cooler weather.
Last week Middle Tennessee was enjoying warm temperatures in the 80s and sunny days. This week we will make a complete reversal with a chance of showers every day and temperatures cooling down with highs only slightly above 70 on some afternoons.
Another week of stormy weather is in the forecast with rain chances at least 60% each afternoon. That is unusual to see for five straight days.
It looks like a typical summer week ahead for us with partly cloudy, humid days and a 40% chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms.
