Harpeth competed against East Hickman and Perry County last week as the three schools met for some 7-on-7 drills. East Hickman was the host school and Harpeth was able to get some work in with three different quarterbacks. Sophomores Hayden Penrod, Landen Perry and Charlie Wilson all got some time under center. Harpeth will host East Hickman next Friday, July 30 as both teams will take the field in full pads.

With the peak summer boating season underway, and amid an increase in boating accidents across the state, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency continues its crackdown on violations, especially Boating Under the Influence (BUI).

Sycamore High School Junior Logan Heckert (left in the photo) and Senior Dalen Kimble(right) recently completed a camp at the Jeff Jordan State Championship Camp in Ohio. Both wrestlers attended a week long camp in June and returned for something a little tougher as all attendees are seasoned and considered the best in their prospective weights classes.

Undefeated super lightweight prospect, Tyler “Short Fuse” Tomlin (11-0, 7 KOs), made his way to St. Petersburg, Florida to get some sparring in with some different fighters.

Chris Richardson, a resident of Lebanon, has been promoted to Deputy Director of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, in change of overseeing all business operations.

Lebanon’s Joey Mallicoat added to his reputation as a top semi-pro tournament fishermen by landing first place in the recent Phoenix Bass Tournament on Old Hickory Lake.

Harpeth hosted its annual basketball awards and chose winners from the team for accolades. Those winners include Logan Johnston for MVP of the team along with Aiden Williams for offensive player of the year and Aaron Bateman for defensive player of the year. Will Collier won the coaches award.
