The Trojan Horse and the cosmic war

“But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.” (Matthew 13:25)

The Trojan Horse was a tale from the Trojan War as told in Virgil’s epic poem “The Aeneid.”

The events in this story were from the Bronze Age in the 12th or 13th century. It contained the strategy that allowed the Greeks to enter the metropolis of Troy and end the war. Whether any of this is true or not isn’t determined, but it does beg our attention in our current crisis.

In the best-known version, after a fruitless 10-year siege of Troy, the Greeks built a huge hollowed-out figure of a horse. Inside the horse, the bravest and strongest men were placed. The Greeks left the horse at the entrance to the city and pretended to sail away. The people of Troy pulled the horse into their midst as a victory trophy.

That night the Greek forces crept out of the horse and opened up the gates for the rest of the Greek Army, which sailed back under the cover of darkness. The Greek army entered and destroyed the city, ending the war.

Are your eyes open yet? Can you align any nation upon earth with Virgil’s stratagems of the Greek’s internal plan to conquer? The exact system of action has already occurred in our midst both on a social and religious scale, although the carrying out of it has not been fully executed.

While the church played around with its rock concerts and exalted the big “I’s” of ministry and debased the little “yous” the enemy came in with a hollowed-out horse. We kept singing and praising the big-name preachers while the stench of death filled every abortion clinic from east to west and north to south.

Riots were extreme and politicians deceitful and we continued to sing and beat the drums as if nothing was happening. Finally, as death continued to escalate until its odor filled Heaven and earth, some of us stood up and fought back seemingly to no avail.

The church received its accolades as if it were a victory gift from God. Inside lurked the means to tear down unity on a massive scale.

I can think of no other way to also describe the state of our nation. We have the Trojan Horse in our midst. Many are waking up and exercising our freedom of speech, but is it too little too late? I do not know, but I do know that over 2000 years ago, God allowed his only Son to be crucified at the hands of wicked men. In fact, the scriptures tell us if Satan had known what he was doing, he would never have crucified the Lord of glory.

Perhaps this is the same. Satan’s plan is to divide and conquer. It is to destroy every form of godliness in the world. What the devil does not understand is while the Lord of glory is allowing him to place the last pieces of the cosmic puzzle together, God is at work fulfilling the greater purpose.

The plan of the enemy is currently invading America, the American church and Israel. However, we will see in the end, the Army of God prevailing. The ultimate victory may not be on earth, but it will play out in eternity. For now, it is what it is. Our involvement is to worship the Lord in the beauty of His holiness and watch as the plan of the ages unfolds before us.

We are a blessed generation. The only generation in history to see first-hand the consummation of the ages.
