We are less than two weeks away from the beginning of autumn. I was checking through the record books and was reminded that we dropped into the low to mid 30s for the first time last year on Oct. 13.
In 2018 low temperatures in the mid-30s arrived on Oct. 21 and 2017 brought us mid 30s on Oct. 26. That gives you an idea when to expect the much colder temperatures; it’s usually mid to late October for frost and freeze.
For astronomy fans, that bright planet that you can see in the southern and southwestern sky late in the evening is Jupiter.
There is a weather radio network across the country (weatherusa.net). You can listen to many of its stations to hear weather conditions across the United States.
