Rayburn Delmore Gray

Rayburn Delmore Gray, age 82, passed away at St. Thomas West in Nashville, Tennessee, on January 4, 2021. 

Delmore was born in White Bluff, Tennessee on October 16, 1938, to the late William and Rosabelle Spann Gray.   He was a  United States Army Veteran, retired truck driver for American Freight and a Teamster.  Delmore is preceded in death by his parents, William and Rosabelle Gray; wife, Alice Faye Gray; brother, Alton Gray; and sister, Phyllis Batey. He is survived by his wife, Linda Gray; son, Eddie Ray (Kim) Gray; daughter, Penny (Tommy) Brake; two grandchildren, Mikayla (Tyler) Brown and Mikenzie Gray; and great-grandchild, Wesley Ray Brown.

Funeral service will be Thursday, January 7, 2021, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Mike Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Dickson Memorial Gardens in Dickson, Tennessee.  Visitation will be Wednesday, January 6th, from 4pm to 7pm and on Thursday before the service from 9am until service hour of 11am.  Serving as active pallbearers are Michael Edwards, Lee Corlew, Kevin Pack, Todd Hamilton, Chuck Griffin, and Hal Bryant.  Honorary pallbearers are Jason Pernell, Chris Knight, Dennie Foriest and Bruce Potts.
