James “Jimmy” Claude Brinkley, age 75 of Hermitage, Tennessee, formerly of Ashland City, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the Residence of Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Funeral services were conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 27th, with Bro. Randy Riggs officiating. Burial followed at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Ashland City. Jason O’Neill, Joe Woodard, Stan Penny, Dustin Bruce, Randal Brinkley, and Dewayne Bannister served as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 2:00PM.
Mr. Brinkley was born on December 11, 1945 in Ashland City, Tennessee to the late Porter and Mary Shearron Brinkley. He was retired after 30 years with S & D coffee company and also served as a Constable for eight years for Cheatham County. He loved to bowl, ride his motorcycle everywhere, and was an avid golfer.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Brinkley and a sister, Lona May.
Survivors include his daughters, Michelle Bannister Brinkley, Melonie Brinkley, Monica (Jason) O’Neil; grandchildren, Jimbo Bannister, Dustin Bruce, Eric Oldham, Anastasia O’Neil, Victoria O’Neill; and great-grandchildren, Courtney Bannister, Hailey Oldham, Lianna Bruce, and Nola Bruce.
