The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s winter trout stocking program resumes this month and will continue through mid-March.

The program provides numerous trout fishing opportunities during the winter months. The trout will average about 10 inches in length. The daily creel limit is seven, but there is no size limit.

A trout license is needed in addition to the fishing license.

The only trout stocking for Cheatham County will be at L.L. Burns Park in Kingston Springs (Feb. 13).

Also, Marrowbone Lake in Joelton (Feb. 14), Shelby Bottoms Park in Nashville (Jan. 23 and March 12) and J. Percy Priest Tailwater in Nashville (Jan. 31 and Feb. 28) will receive trout.
