The Senior Center at Ashland City will be closed through April 3 because of coronavirus concerns, according to a statement from center director Melissa Womack.
Womack said that all activities, events, dances and trips are canceled. She said that on March 30, the situation will be reviewed along with recommendations from the Center for Disease Control from Cheatham County Mayor Kerry McCarver before making further decisions about center activities.
She said that Meals On Wheels will provide meals for the homebound and for those that had normally come to eat lunch at the center. Those who normally eat at the center need to call one day prior to picking up a meal before 11:30 a.m. so that a meal can be ordered. Womack added that no meals will be served on site at the center. The number to call is (615) 792-7276.
An April newsletter of activities will not be sent until operations are officially resumed.
“We will continue to post any updates on our Facebook page, The Senior Center at Ashland City,” she said in the statement. “We miss everyone and hope that you will stay safe. Please feel free to contact us for needs and concerns.”
