The second death related to COVID-19 in Cheatham County was reported July 8 by the Tennessee Department of Health.
The first coronavirus-related death was reported June 29. At that time, state health department spokeswoman Shelley Walker said the agency doesn’t release information on individual victims such as age range, gender or race.
The second death was posted July 8 on the department’s website in the agency’s daily 2 p.m. update, a running statewide tally of numbers with county-by-county breakdowns.
That update put the total number of confirmed or probable coronavirus cases in Cheatham County at 243, with 112 recoveries and 3,430 negative tests.
