Parker Towing broke ground for its long-anticipated Nashville Marine Terminal at 1053 Trinity Road in Ashland City last Wednesday. According to a press release from Parker Towing, the company will develop 15 acres of the 23-acre site for a multimodal river port and cargo storage.

The development of the port has been a work in progress and topic of discussion since 2017, according to Parker Towing President and CEO Tim Parker, III. Parker Towing builds barges at neighboring business Arcosa Marine, and what began as a brainstorming session five years ago turned into the idea to build the port.
