Early voting in Cheatham increases

The first three days of early voting in Cheatham County showed a much higher turnout rate than those in 2014, according to data gathered by the Cheatham County Exchange.

In the first three days of voting in the 2014 midterm election, 594 people cast their votes, according to election commission records. In the first three days of this year’s midterm, 1,994 residents voted.

“It was consistently steady all day,” said Pam Frejosky, the county’s administrator of elections.

Early voting continues through Nov. 1 at these locations:

  • Election Commission Office, 188 John Mayfield Dr. Ste. 100, Ashland City
  • Pleasant View City Hall (last day – Oct. 24) 1008 Civic Ct., Pleasant View
  • Pegram City Hall (Oct. 25-Nov. 1) 308 U.S. 70, Pegram

Early voting hours are: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Polls will be open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Oct. 30 and Nov. 1. There is no voting on Sundays.
