Kelly Ellis, owner-operator of The Livery Stables, has put together a “Meals to Go” service.

She said that the service helps the workers from the event venue get some payment after Gov. Bill Lee ordered a reduction of services by restaurants because of coronavirus precautions.

“They can just drive up, pick up their meal and drive off,” she said. “Our kitchen has been registered with the Department of Health, and we’re really upgraded our sanitizing more thoroughly and more often.”

She calls the service offerings “Takeout Tuesday” and “Thankful Thursday.”

Kara Peters, a 2016 graduate of Montgomery Central High School, is a junior majoring in public relations, with a minor in event planning at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville.

She works in the kitchen area, putting together and handing out the meals for those who drive up.

Ellis said that the meals are available from 3-6:30 p.m. at the venue at 1104 Main St. in Pleasant View. Call (615) 746-8992 for information.
