The Pink Out For Hope 2019 5K Booby Bolt will honor the memory of Lori Stone at Balthrop Park in Pleasant View on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Stone taught for more than 20 years at Ashland City Elementary School and her family chose to have her Celebration of Life there. Some of the students participated in the “Cha Cha”, one of her favorite fun activities with her students.
Stone was the mother of two daughters.
Registration for the Booby Bolt 5-K and Kids’ Fun run is open at PinkOutForHope.org or ITS YOUR RACE.
Kids' 1-mile Fun Run registration fee is $15/ per child ages 12 or younger (no race day registration). Registration for the Survivor Recognition Walk and Booby Bolt is $30 per runner or $25 per runner for a team of eight or more who register as a team). Race Day Booby Bolt registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and is $40 per runner (no team registration on race day).
The Kids’ 1-mile Fun Run will begin at 8 a.m.; the Survivor Recognition Walk at 8:15 a.m.; and the Booby Bolt at 8:30 a.m. All activities are held across the street from Pleasant View Elementary School at 2622 Church St.
All proceeds will help to fund the Pink Out For Hope Patient Assistance program for women with breast cancer in Cheatham County and the 37146 zip code of Robertson County.
A Memory Mile to honor the memory of those who have lost their battle with breast cancer is included on the race route.
