“Dining with Diabetes” classes, a three-week program led by the Cheatham County Extension Office, will begin Tuesday, March 5 at the Senior Center at Ashland City, 104 Ruth Dr. at 3 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. This class is open to anyone with diabetes, family members of people with diabetes or anyone at risk for diabetes. Creek Wood High School’s 2nd Art’s Nite Out will be held Tuesday, March 12 from 5-7 p.m. There will be performances from choir, band and theater students. There will also be an Art Show and Sale. Admission is free, donations to support the arts will be accepted. The Creek's Cafe will be open with snacks and drinks to purchase.
The annual John E. Mayfield Memorial Fundraiser hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Cheatham County will be held Saturday, March 16 at the Cheatham County Public Library, 188 John E. Mayfield Dr. in Ashland City. The event benefits the Cheatham County Imagination Library and features a 1-mile walk/fun run; entry fee for the walk/fun run is $25 and free for children 12 or younger. There will also be booths, activities, games, and a costume contest for kids age 12; come dressed as a character from your favorite book and win a prize. Sign up begins at 7 a.m. The walk/fun run starts at 9 a.m. The Kiwanis Club pancake breakfast will also be served from 7-10 a.m. for $5.

The Cheatham County Central High School Steak Dinner and Auction featuring comedian Chonda Pierce to benefit CCCHS students will be held Saturday, April 13 at the high school.
