An Arthritis Foundation Tai Chi Program will be held for eight weeks starting Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 4-5 p.m. at the Cheatham County Public Library. A Gardening 9-1-1 event will be held Saturday, March 7 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Unity Covenant Church, 99 Brookhollow Dr. in Ashland City. Type 2 Diabetes: A Family Affair program will be held Monday, March 16 at 6 p.m. at the David McCullough Room, 322 Frey St. in Ashland City. The free, interactive program will begin is scheduled for two hours and is open to anyone with diabetes and their family members or anyone at risk for diabetes. Colby’s Army Third Annual Pasture Putt Putt Golf and Games will be held May 2-3 from Noon-4 p.m. at the learning center facility at 1394 George Boyd Rd. in Ashland City. Lawn games such as croquet, lawn bowling and corn hole will be available to play, as well as food for purchase and facility tours. Colby’s Army helps children and adults with life challenges such as autism, Down syndrome, homelessness, depression, anxiety, cerebral palsy, PTSD, and development delay.


Free Food Boxes will be available on the first Thursday of each month from 11 a.m.-noon at Mt. Hebron Community Church, 2070 Mosely Ferry Rd. in Chapmansboro. Schedule changes to Saturdays from 9-11 a.m. starting Feb. 1.


The Cheatham County Historical and Genealogical Association meets the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Cheatham County Public Library, 188 John E. Mayfield Dr. in Ashland City.
