Red Cross blood drive will be held Monday, June 29 from 12:30-6:30 p.m. at Pleasant View United Methodist Church, 2621 Church St. in Pleasant View. For a limited time, the Red Cross is testing all blood, platelet and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies. COVID-19 antibody test results will be available within 7-10 days. The Red Cross is not testing donors to diagnose illness, referred to as a diagnostic test. Free Grocery Giveaway will be held Thursday, July 2 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Mt. Hebron Community Church, 2070 Mosley Ferry Rd. in Chapmansboro.

Colby’s Army Third Annual Pasture Putt Putt Golf and Games will be held Aug. 29-30 from 4-8 p.m. each day at the learning center facility at 1394 George Boyd Rd. in Ashland City. Lawn games such as croquet, lawn bowling and corn hole will be available to play, as well as food for purchase and facility tours. Colby’s Army helps children and adults with life challenges such as autism, Down syndrome, homelessness, depression, anxiety, cerebral palsy, PTSD, and development delay. TN Achieves is recruiting volunteer mentors to provide a local support system to every TN Promise applicant in the Class of 2021. Mentors work with a small group of three to seven students as they transition from high school to college. Mentors complete a training course in person or online.
