Dining with Diabetes classes hosted by the Cheatham County Extension Office will be offered for three weeks beginning Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. at the Unity Covenant Church, 99 Brookhollow Dr. in Ashland City. The class is open to anyone with diabetes, family members of people with diabetes or anyone at risk for diabetes. Registration cost is $20. The Booby Bolt 5K and Kids 1-Mile Fun Run supporting Pink Out For Hope are now registering participants. It will be held Saturday, Oct. 5 at 8 a.m. at Balthrop Park, 2622 Church St. in Pleasant View. Fun Run fee is $15 per child for 12 years or younger. Booby Bolt fee is $30 per runner ($40 per runner on race day at 7:30 a.m.). There is also a Survivor Recognition Walk.
