Annual Christmas Anonymous Roadblock will be held Nov. 16 at 9 a.m. at intersections along Main Street in Ashland City. The event sponsored by the Ashland City Civitan Club raises money to purchase toys for underprivileged children in Cheatham County. Monetary donations can be mailed to Ashland City Civitan Club, P.O. Forest Hill Cemetery Living History Tour Video Viewing Party hosted by the Cheatham County Historical & Genealogical Association will be held Thursday, Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cheatham County Public Library, 188 John Mayfield Dr. in Ashland City. North Cheatham Civitan Club’s Bingo Night will be held Thursday, Nov. 14 from 6:30-8 p.m. at The Livery Stables, 1104 Main St. in Pleasant View. Dessert and drinks will be provided. Event is for ages 16 or older. Entry fee is a can of non-perishable goods which will be sent to Mission of Hope’s food bank. 

Pegram United Methodist Church’s Annual Bazaar and Bake Sale will be held Saturday, Nov. 23 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church at 479 Thompson Rd. in Pegram (across from the Pegram Park ballfields). The traditional Southern lunch — ham, turnip greens, white beans, hot water cornbread, dessert and drink — will be served from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Cost for lunch $8 for adults and $5 for children under 10. Braxton Lee Homestead Foundation’s Holiday Open House will be held Saturday, Dec. 7 from 1-4 p.m. at the Homestead, 117 Smith St. in Ashland City. There will be a Christmas BAZAAR with gift items, treats and holiday décor. Santa and Mrs. Claus are scheduled to arrive at 2 p.m.

Free Food Boxes will be available on the first Thursday of each month from 11 a.m.-noon at Mt. Hebron Community Church, 2070 Mosely Ferry Rd. in Chapmansboro.

The Cheatham County Historical and Genealogical Association meets the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Cheatham County Public Library, 188 John E. Mayfield Dr. in Ashland City.
