A School Clothing Giveaway will be held Saturday, July 13 from 9 a.m.-Noon at Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ, 2699 Old Clarksville Pike in Ashland City.

The Cheatham County Extension Office’s Sewing Workshops will be held July 23-26 from 9 a.m.-Noon each day in the David McCullough Room at Sycamore Square, 322 Frey St. in Ashland City. The workshops will be Aprons (July 23), Burrito Pillows (July 24), Study Pillows (July 25) and Easy Skirts (July 26). Each class is $15 or $50 for all four. The Seventh Annual Back to School Bash sponsored by the Cheatham County Chamber of Commerce and AO Smith will be held Saturday, July 27 at 9 a.m. at Riverbluff Park, 175 Old Cumberland St. in Ashland City. Free school supplies will be handed out to Cheatham County residents (valid ID required).


The 41st Annual Harrison & Della Perry Family Reunion will be held Saturday, July 27 at 4 p.m. at Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church, 2025 Blue Springs Rd. in Ashland City. Bring a covered dish for dinner, which begins at 5 p.m.


Free Food Boxes will be available on the first Thursday of each month from 11 a.m.-noon at Mt. Hebron Community Church, 2070 Mosely Ferry Rd. in Chapmansboro.

The Cheatham County Historical and Genealogical Association meets the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Cheatham County Public Library, 188 John E. Mayfield Dr. in Ashland City.
