Red Cross Blood Drive will be held Tuesday, May 12 from 1-6 p.m. at the Ashland City Church of Christ, 110 Cumberland St. in Ashland City. To make an appointment, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, go to RedCrossBlood.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Bethlehem Cemetery Annual Memorial Service will be held Sunday, May 17 at 2 p.m. at , the cemetery at Highway 12 North. Everyone is invited for the business meeting and service in remembrance of friends and loved ones buried there. Memorials and donations for the upkeep of the cemetery may be sent to Frances Harris, 1101 Water Valley Rd., Ashland City, TN  37015.

 

Youth Leadership Cheatham County is accepting applications for the 2020-2021 school year. Rising juniors and seniors that reside in Cheatham County may apply. The application deadline is May 31. Participants in Youth Leadership have monthly tours that include county tourism, agriculture, county government, county industry and state government. Colby’s Army Third Annual Pasture Putt Putt Golf and Games will be held May 23-24 from Noon-4 p.m. at the learning center facility at 1394 George Boyd Rd. in Ashland City. Lawn games such as croquet, lawn bowling and corn hole will be available to play, as well as food for purchase and facility tours. Colby’s Army helps children and adults with life challenges such as autism, Down syndrome, homelessness, depression, anxiety, cerebral palsy, PTSD, and development delay.

 

Cheatham County Coalition meetings will be held June 22, July 27, Aug. 24, Sept. 28, Oct. 26 and Nov. 23 from 6-7 p.m. at the David McCullough Community Room, 334 Frey St. in Ashland City. Meetings are open to the public. For information contact Carlie Rhodes at (615) 246-8075.

The Cheatham County Historical and Genealogical Association meets the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Cheatham County Public Library, 188 John E. Mayfield Dr. in Ashland City. Presentations are given during the April, July and October meetings. Anyone interested in the history of the area is welcome to attend.
