The Ashland City Civitan Club Annual Yard Sale will be held Sept. 17-18 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sept. 19 from 8 a.m.-noon at the Bethlehem Center located at 1508 Hwy. 12 North. Funds raised will go toward purchasing toys for underprivileged children in the county. Anyone wishing to donated items for the yard sale can drop them off after noon on Sept. 16. Tennessee State Parks’ Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee will be held through Sept. 30 and will be a virtual event this year. Riders can log their miles on lovetoride.net as part of the Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee Cycling Club. The goal is for participants to ride 688 miles, the distance from Bristol to Memphis. Participants can log their miles any way they choose, including road cycling, indoor cycling, gravel or mountain biking. The cost to participate is $150. All participants will receive access to trusted routes at multiple Tennessee State Parks and a 2020 BRAT jersey and T-shirt. One Tennessee Foundation Music Festival benefiting homeless veterans will be held Saturday Oct. 3 from 4-8 p.m. at Leatherwood Distillery, 6381 U.S. 41 Alternate in Pleasant View. For tickets and information call (615) 247-8778.

Pleasant View Group Open AA Meetings will be held Mondays and Thursdays from 8-9 p.m. at The Livery Stable/Coach House, 1104 Main St. in Pleasant View.

The Cheatham County Historical and Genealogical Association meets the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Cheatham County Public Library, 188 John E. Mayfield Dr. in Ashland City. Presentations are given during the April, July and October meetings. Anyone interested in the history of the area is welcome to attend.
